FEMA - Disaster Recovery Centers

When FEMA sets up its Disaster Recovery Centers (coming very soon/likely one County at a time), we know that they will have their mental health resources/crisis counseling available at no charge. We do not know 100% what that looks like, but the FEMA teams shared that with community members when they did their site visit. For now, the Disaster Distress line is the best free resource.
The Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH) is the first national hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This toll-free, multilingual, crisis support service is available 24/7 to all residents in the U.S. and its territories who are experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.
